GBA invites dynamic and engaging speakers to submit an abstract for consideration for our 2026 Annual Conference to be held April 23-25, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass,  in Phoenix, AZ. Act now to be a part of this event! If you have insights, best practices, or presentations highlighting any aspect of the theme outlined below, you are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration.

How Will You Benefit?
Join leaders in the geoprofessional industry as they convene to engage and share their knowledge. As a presenter, you will gain visibility and credibility; create new relationships; and generate valuable awareness of your expertise in our industry. You will also learn from other subject matter experts presenting at this conference.

Guideline for Speaker Biographies
Biographies provide a high-level view of the presenter’s career and major business accomplishments. Each presenter must submit a biography of 100-200 words. The following must be included for each presenter.

• Full name, designations, job title, and firm name
• Description of the presenter’s role within his/her firm and services that the firm provides.
• Career highlights as it relates to the presenter’s current position and/or previous position(s)
• Degrees, certifications, awards, recognitions, published works
• Public or professional social media profiles

What to Include:
• Proposed session title and abstract (session description)
• Three key learning objectives
• Detailed biography (100-200 words) for each presenter
• Name and complete contact information for main presenter
Submit the form and any Word documents (for additional speaker biographies) via e-mail to: abstracts@geoprofessional.org

Evaluation Criteria

GBA’s Program Committee will evaluate abstracts based on relevance to the audience, practical application of material, qualifications of the presenter(s), and how the topic ties in with the overall conference theme.

Important Deadline Dates:

Complete all sections of the “Submission Form” .

• All submission must be sent to the abstracts@geoprofessional.org e-mail for collection and review by the Program Committee.

• This e-mail is the main location where submissions should be sent.

Friday, August 2, 2025          Submission deadline

Friday, August 22, 2025        Notification made to selected presenters

Friday, September 5, 2025  Final session description and title due from presenters

Friday, February 13, 2026    Preliminary PowerPoint presentation due from presenter

Friday, March 27, 2026          Final PowerPoint presentation due from presenter

Please do not rely on staff or a Program Committee member to forward your submission to this location.
